Dancing animals

So here is where all these sketches were leading. I was reflecting on a contest based on Patty Griffin's latest album "Silver Bell".

The sketches lead to a more defined sketch that got coloured:

Which then led to this piece:

The original is 50 x 70 cm, and for now is still in black and white (inks and pencil). I'm hoping to colour it at some point. This one here is coloured digitally.

It was nice to work on something more personal for once, unlike commissioned work this was really an open brief. You will be able to vote for the entries here. And you can also see the finished poster with the text on top. The font is one I invented many years ago and still love to use.
